Dearest Cousin Gary,

I believe that this moment in history-- with the Occupy movement creating a huge nationwide discussion of corruption and money in politics-- is ours to wrest the control of our government away from the Republicans AND Democrats, both of whom do the bidding of war profiteers and other big-money interests. The Justice Party candidates will not take money from corporations, unlike almost all Democrats. Our President is so cozy with Wall Street insiders (Goldman Sachs!) that they are on his cabinet and running federal agencies. I cannot in good conscience vote for any politician who approves the murder of U.S. citizens without charges or trial. That is tyranny. I won't support it. There are some good Democrats and some good Republicans, but the "one party" system is toxic. I'm finished with the argument that the Republicans are worse than the Dems. The Dems are just as bad-- worse actually when you look at their double-speak. I would rather risk another conservative on the Supreme Court than vote for immorality, corruption, destruction, murder, war profiteering. These are things the Democrats are guilty of. Here's my letter to the DLCC in response to yet another fund-raising email:

Dear Robby Mook and Representative Pelosi,

No, we don't need President Obama in the White House. We need a President who works for the people of this country, not Wall Street, the Military contractors, nuclear and coal industries, and AIPAC. We need a President with heart, who believes in our Constitution and justice.

Don't ask me for money, don't ask me to make phone calls for votes, don't ask me to buy a button or bumper sticker, and don't ask me to believe that the Republicans are evil and Democrats are good.

I've left the Democratic Party. The Party sold us out. It refused to prosecute the criminals who lied us into Iraq and who created a policy of torture and inhumane treatment of innocent detainees. Speaker Pelosi took impeachment off the table, as if she had the right to violate the Constitution and take away our power to hold officials accountable for their illegal acts.
The Democratic Party has supported the increased funding of wars of occupation, ruining lives, killing innocent people with drones. Children are dying because of the Democratic Party! Iraqis lack electricity, clean water to drink, and a peaceful existence-- all because the Democratic Party supported the illegal invasion of Iraq, a sovereign country who never did anything to the U.S.A.

When a Party supports breaking the law I don't support it.

Goodbye and good riddance.
